Who Can Shop at Clothes To Kids?

Becoming a Clothes To Kids shopper requires three things:

1.  Get a referral
If you receive free or reduced-price lunch through Pinellas County Schools you may use your official notification letter (for the current school year) as a letter of referral.  You may also bring a recent letter of referral from a:

  • Social worker or case worker employed at a local social service agency

  • School teacher, school administrator, guidance counselor or social worker
  • Pastor, priest or rabbi from your place of worship

2. Call Clothes To Kids for an appointment
All shopping at Clothes To Kids is by appointment only.  Call 727-441-5050 to make your appointment once you have your referral letter.  Please keep in mind that during busy months (back-to-school, holidays) appointments may book as much as four weeks out.

3.  Come Shopping
We look forward to seeing you at Clothes To Kids!

Shopping Experience

Shopping is by appointment only.
Please call the store nearest you to schedule!

Please note:  During our busier back-to-school months, appointments may be set as much as one month out.

Shopping at the CTK store is truly a unique experience. Clothes are arranged by size and type so parents and children can browse to select what they like best. Dressing rooms are provided so that a good fit is assured and every child is comfortable and happy.  The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, and friendly staff and volunteers are always on hand to assist shoppers!

What's in a CTK Wardrobe?

It is our goal at CTK to provide each eligible child with a week’s worth of school clothing. The selections at CTK are a combination of new and quality used clothing in the latest styles for kids. We have clothing to fit little girls, boys, young men, and young women of all shapes and sizes!

Store Policies

Clothes To Kids exists solely on donations from our community and is run by a dedicated group of caring volunteers. We are here to help make this a fun experience for you and your children. We strive to treat each person with dignity and respect and ask the same courtesy in return.

Our clothing is a combination of new and “gently-used” items. Underwear and socks are all brand new and may not be returned. We work very hard to hang only items in good condition. If the clothes do not meet your expectations and you would rather not stay and shop, we will respect your decision. Just, kindly, let one of our volunteers know your wishes.

A wardrobe list will be given to you prior to shopping. This lets you know exactly what you may receive. Items may not be substituted. On occasion, you may not be able to complete your wardrobe because of lack of availability in a certain area of our store. Please let one of our volunteers know which items you cannot find. We will work harder in the future to try and fill the gaps.

Clothing may be returned to the SAME CTK store where received within 14 days. Please leave all the tags on the clothing.  An appointment to exchange clothing is not necessary.

Families must call 727-441-5050 for an appointment and bring their referral and a photo ID with them to shop.  No other paperwork is necessary.

Parents are not required to bring their children to obtain clothing; however, fitting rooms are available for their use.

Clothes To Kids is a year-round program.  Eligible children may shop twice in a 12-month period but must have a referral with each visit.

We strive to serve as many children as possible each morning that we are open. We ask that you try to complete your shopping quickly so that other families can also shop. Our last appointment is at 11:30 and the store closes promptly at 12:30 each day. At 1:00 p.m. a team of volunteers restocks the store for the next day. Please respect these time restrictions.

Please keep your children with you at all times while shopping.
